This morning, April I were at church & as is often the case I heard a quote from the bible that spoke to the entrepreneur in me. As Andy Stanley expressed his feelings on behavior in the new year he talked about making an impact in a world that feels overwhelming to change. In doing this, he referred to Galatians 6:9 which states: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
It was great to hear the message now because it reminded me how easy it is to get weary while working hard toward a goal. As the new year begins, we are all enthusiastic in what we plan to accomplish, but the year takes shape and often our dedication gets challenged. Knowing that we will be rewarded is what keeps me moving in the right direction and I hope to keep that in mind more this year.
Galatians 6:9 conveys a common motivation which there are so many ways to say, like “never give up” or “just do it”. Whichever works for you though, I hope that you use it in the New Year to spend more time doing good and working toward your goals.
For me its great to know hear the concept in this way, from the best-selling book ever which has so many concepts that hold true in our lives.
